The Connecticut Yankees, leading the AL West after a quarter of the season has been played, have fired manager Clipper Fox. When asked for comment, Clipper stated only that he and Yankee owner Felix Giordano had "...a disagreement on the state of the franchise and where it was heading." Taking over the reigns, at least for the interim, is Kingfish Boudreau. Kingfish has never managed in the RTCBL, but has proved himself more than worthy managing minor league and semi-pro teams over the last few years. Boudreau says he is excited to take the helm, and has no qualms doing it in the middle of a road trip. The Yankees are heading to Laguna Beach to face the Legends. |
