King Kong Keller KO's Yakima

    AL Season 5 Standings

The tough AL East just got tougher, as a sweep of Yakima by Connecticut puts the Yankees on top of a division that boasts the AL's 3 best records. CNY has 64 wins, YKB 60 and BRT 57. The 3rd place finisher in this division may have a great record, but will be left out of post-season play.

Huntington and Laguna Make a Beach-Front Trade

The Blue Wave have dealt two of their team stars in a shake-up that has the reigning champion's faithful in dismay. It has been rumored that Joe Medwick, tired of fans in the left-field pavilion making "duck" squawking noises, demanded the trade after missing a fly ball when he hit the turf to avoid a flock of mallards.
Medwick, a team leader who is 2nd in the league in AVG at .336 and was leading HBB with 13 HR and 65 RBIs, also got his wish to stay on the coast by going to division rival Laguna.
Huntington also took the opportunity to ship off colorful Rube Waddell, the fireball lefty whose antics of alcohol and chasing fire trucks had the Blue Wave brass turning red.
A third player, promising outfielder Cy Seymour, completed the package sent down the coast in exchange for the talented outfielder Hugh Duffy, lefty hurler Preacher Roe and erratic SS Bill Dahlen, who is returning to the HBB fold. The Huntington front office is gambling that Medwick's stick will not be missed in the high octane Blue Wave order this season, but the true measure of this deal may only be seen in the coming years.

AL: E-town has new Mangager

Elizabethtown will now be using Jake Malloy as their road manager, after having the worst road record in League History this season (unofficial, but it sure seems that way), we fire Felipe Hernandez
