Game 3
A 2-run double by Simmons puts HB up until E-town starts chipping away,
first scoring on a groundout in the 7th. In the 8th Bender relieves
Grove and blows the save by allowing a Cepeda SF to tie it 2-2. It goes
extra frames when in the 10th Franco allows hits to Keeler and Collins,
and then Baker comes in to pinch hit and plates Keeler with a SF to
win it. Walsh goes the distance in defeat and Vaughan, last season's
MVP, collects his 14th error of the season at SS for HB.

HB: 3r 6h 1e
W- Allen (2-2); L- Walsh (3-4)
Game 4
Alexander throws a beauty, going the distance and only allowing a Cepeda
9th inning dinger to spoil the shutout. HBB is powered by homers from
Medwick and Brouthers, and even Baker has a succesful steal against
the vaunted E-town receivers.
EE: 1r 5h 1e

Game 5
Newhouser tosses another great game, going 8 1/3 with 9Ks and takes
a 5-2 lead into the 9th courtesy of homers from Vaughan and Joe Jackson.
But he allows a run to score on a SF and then 2 more hits to end his
day. McMichael comes on for the save but serves up a 2-run double to
Aaron to tie the score. HBB gets out of the jam and it goes to extra
frames. In the 11th Magee singles and advances on a throwing error by
Franco in relief. Medwick is intentionally walked but Stovey burns him
with a hit to the gap to plate the winning run. Doc White, relegated
to the bullpen after rocky starts, gets his first win and Collins adds
a SB for good measure off of Berra.

Game 6
The last game is the only one that is not close, as Huntington hammers
an overworked E-town bullpen. Rijo takes the brunt of it, serving up
7 ER and 4 BBs in only 3 2/3. Most of the game's damage was done by
Medwick, who went 3 for 4 with a double, triple and 3 RBI, and Brown
collected his 2nd win of the series and give HB their first sweep of
an opponent.
EE: 2r 6h 1e
HB: 12r 13h 0e
W- Brown (6-2); L- T. John (1-4)
HR- Collins (1)
Huntington finally played some decent defense and got great pitching
to get back above .500 for the first time this season.

allowing only 3 hits as Laguna Beach wins 10-0. They scored 5 runs in
the second inning on their way to an 18 hit attack.
